Pros and cons
What we like
- Unlimited users on every plan
- No contract: plans run month-to-month
- Technician mobile app for schedules, work orders and payments
Watch out for
- Customer web portal, e-signature documents and open API are reserved for the top plan
- GPS fleet tracking is a paid add-on rather than part of the base plans

Our full review
In short
Service Fusion is field service management software that bundles customer management, estimates and jobs, scheduling and dispatching, invoicing, payments, QuickBooks integration, reporting and text alerts into one account. The pricing structure is unusual for this category: every plan has unlimited users, so you pay for the feature tier rather than for each technician.
Is Service Fusion good for a growing trades company?
Service Fusion is a good choice when headcount is the thing that makes other tools expensive. Because every plan includes unlimited users, adding a dispatcher or a technician does not change the plan you are on. The vendor also states that plans have no contract requirement.
It is built for trades such as HVAC, plumbing and electrical, and it names roofing, irrigation, pool service and cleaning as well.
What does each Service Fusion plan include?
Service Fusion has three tiers: Starter, Plus and Pro. Starter covers the core workflow, Plus adds job photos, inventory, job costing and integrated voice and text, and Pro adds an open API, custom documents, e-signature, a customer web portal, progressive billing and recurring invoicing.
| Capability | Starter | Plus | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer management, scheduling and dispatch | Included | Included | Included |
| Estimates, invoicing and integrated payments | Included | Included | Included |
| QuickBooks integration | Included | Included | Included |
| Job photo uploads | Not listed | Included | Included |
| Inventory management and job costing | Not listed | Included | Included |
| Integrated voice and text | Not listed | Included | Included |
| Customer web portal and e-signature | Not listed | Not listed | Included |
| Progressive billing and recurring invoicing | Not listed | Not listed | Included |

How does scheduling and dispatch work?
Dispatch runs on a drag-and-drop grid that shows technician availability, with a map view for reassigning appointments and dispatch zones for targeted assignments. Customers can use a "Track your Tech" feature to see a technician's location and arrival estimate.
Estimates use auto-populated templates with rates and tax calculations, and invoices carry QuickBooks integration.
What does the technician app do?
The app lets a technician see the schedule and job details, look up customer and equipment records, add notes and photos, view invoices and estimates, and take payment on site. It has an offline mode and an AI notes feature that turns rough field notes into a clean write-up.
Who it's for
Service Fusion fits a plumbing, HVAC, electrical or roofing company of several technicians and an office, where the number of logins would otherwise drive the bill. It also fits an owner who wants service agreements with automatic billing for recurring revenue, a capability the vendor lists in its core feature set.
Who should look elsewhere
Look elsewhere if you are a one-person shop that wants the simplest app: the entry tier is built for a business with dispatch needs. Look elsewhere if you need GPS fleet tracking bundled in, since it is an add-on, or if you want a customer web portal without moving to the top tier. A landscaping-only crew should also check the trade fit, since landscaping is not in the trade list we reviewed.
Add-ons and extra products
Beyond the plans, Service Fusion lists ServiceCall.ai and GPS Fleet Tracking as add-ons, and its navigation also lists online reputation management, homeowner financing, flat rate integration and AI phone answering as separate product pages.
The GPS add-on shows live vehicle locations, trip history and driving alerts, and sits inside the same dashboard.
Limits to know
Features are tiered, so a team that wants job costing, inventory or a customer portal must plan for Plus or Pro rather than Starter. The pricing page we reviewed does not mention a free trial. We also have not verified any outcome claims on the vendor's pages, such as productivity or return figures.
What to check on pricing
Service Fusion publishes tier prices on its own pricing page, with a discount for annual billing, but we have not recorded a verified price in our table, so our page shows "vendor site". Check the vendor's pricing page and confirm which add-ons you need, since GPS and call tracking are billed separately. See /tools/service-fusion/pricing.
Alternatives and when they fit
- Housecall Pro if you want a broadly used field service app with a different plan structure.
- Jobber if you want a simpler tool for quotes, scheduling and invoicing.
- Workiz if your priority is an integrated phone system with call tracking.
- ServiceTitan if you are a larger operation willing to work through a sales process.
How we reviewed it
We read Service Fusion's homepage, pricing page, scheduling page, GPS page, mobile app page and site navigation. We did not use review sites, and we left out testimonials and return-on-investment claims because we cannot verify them.
