How this calculator works

Field service tools are priced two different ways: a flat monthly fee regardless of team size (most of the tools below), or a per-user fee with a minimum seat count. This calculator applies the plan's own pricing rule to the number of technicians you enter, then divides the result by that same number to get a cost per technician. It does not guess or average prices: a tool with no figure it could verify recently is listed separately, linking to the vendor's site instead of a number.

The optional card-processing fee section lets you add your own estimate of what you pay to accept card payments; it is not a number we sourced, and it is clearly separated from the verified subscription prices above it.

This is a planning tool, not a lab test: we have not run these products ourselves. It exists to turn published prices into a comparable monthly figure. For the full picture on each tool, see its product page.

Frequently asked questions

How is "cost per technician" calculated?
We take the tool's cheapest verified plan (or the one you pick), work out its monthly cost for the team size you enter, then divide by the number of technicians. For a flat monthly plan, more technicians simply lower the cost per technician; for a per-user plan, the monthly cost itself scales with your team, using the plan's own per-seat price and any minimum seat count.
Are the payment processing fees verified?
No. The optional card-fee estimate is a figure you type in, not a number we checked with any vendor. Every subscription price above it, by contrast, is read from the vendor's own pricing page and dated.
Why do some tools show "Check price on vendor site" instead of a number?
Kitfinch only shows a price once it has been read on the vendor's own pricing page and re-checked within our freshness window (see our methodology). Tools that only quote on request, or that we could not verify recently, are excluded from the total rather than estimated.
Does this include add-on modules or overage fees?
Not yet. This first version compares base subscription plans only. Add-ons, per-job overage fees and payment-processing rates that vendors publish are a planned addition once we have verified figures for them.
